Day 1: Loading

 Day 1: 151.0 lbs

On the first 2 days of the HCG diet, you are supposed to load. Eating as much oil, fats, and sugars as possible so you can jumpstart your metabolism. You also start taking your HCG. I'm using the nasal spray, which is by prescription only (other forms of HCG you do not have to have an Rx for), and took it in the morning. It was kind of fruity. I was worried it was going to burn, but it didn't. I'm also taking sublingual Vitamin B12, which had no flavor. Some B12 drops taste gross, so I was worried. You're supposed to leave the B12 liquid under your tongue and allow it to absorb, so I just waited til I couldn't taste it anymore, since saliva was pooling under it also. At lunch, I'm also taking a packet of vitamins.

For breakfast, all I had was a donut. I was going to have more, but got a stomach ache. I don't do well having sugary items for breakfast. For lunch, I had Chinese food. I didn't really load there either. Feeling like I wasn't loading enough, I then had a 32 oz cherry shake. That was tasty! But unfortunately, then I wasn't hungry for dinner. All I had were a few bits of a cheese quesadilla with sour cream and beans and a soda. I just don't feel well. Tomorrow I plan on doing better. Eating a bigger, non-sweet breakfast so I can have a good start to my day. I gotta do this right!!

It's nice doing this diet with a bunch of coworkers. In my general area at work, there are 3 of us. And my bestie is doing it also. And so is my hubby. So all around, I have support. It's nice to be able to compare how we thought the HCG felt the first time, how taking the pills were, and whatnot. I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better loading day!
